Take full control of your station's sound by managing your team and automating your content. The DJ and AutoDJ management tools allow you to run a professional 24/7 broadcast with minimal manual effort.
1. Managing Your Playlists
Playlists are the backbone of your station. By organizing your music into logical groups, you can shape the "vibe" of your broadcast throughout the day.
- Uploading Media: Use the Upload Files button or connect via FTP to add tracks to your library.
- Creating Playlists: Under DJ -> Auto DJ, click "Add Playlist." You can set these to "General Rotation" (plays randomly) or "Scheduled" (plays at specific times).
- Track Ordering: Within any playlist, use the Manage button to drag and drop tracks into your preferred playback sequence.
2. Advanced AutoDJ Automation Settings
To ensure a professional "radio feel" between songs, you can fine-tune how the AutoDJ handles transitions:
- Crossfade Length: Adjust the overlap between tracks (typically 3-5 seconds) for smooth transitions.
- Duplicate Prevention: Set a time buffer to ensure the same artist or song doesn't play too frequently, keeping your stream fresh for long-term listeners.
3. The Scheduling Tool (Calendar View)
The Scheduling Tool provides a visual calendar for your station. This is perfect for setting up weekly shows, "Top 40" hours, or specialized genre blocks.
- Month & List Views: Switch views to easily spot gaps in your programming.
- One-Time vs. Recurring: Schedule a special event once, or set a playlist to trigger every Monday at 8 PM.
4. Professional Jingle & ID Rotation
Jingles are essential for branding. Instead of adding them to music playlists, use the dedicated Jingles tab to automate them:
- Interval Playback: Set jingles to trigger "Once every 3 songs" or "Every 15 minutes."
- Jingle Mode: Enable this to hide the jingle's metadata (artist/title) from your listeners' players, maintaining a clean "Station ID" experience.
5. Creating & Managing DJ Accounts
Never share your master password. Instead, create individual accounts for your team members under DJ -> Users.
- Streaming Access: Allows the DJ to connect live via an encoder.
- Media Management: Allows the DJ to upload songs or manage playlists.
- Schedule Control: Grants access to change the station calendar.
